Trusts and Foundations

The support of charitable trusts and foundations is vital to this work. Together, we can help people to rebuild their lives and communities.

One way that trusts and foundations can support the IRC is by making an unrestricted gift. This will help us meet our key priorities at that time, which could be responding to an emergency, piloting a new project or meeting the costs of our core activities.

Another is by working in partnership with the IRC on a specific project or area of our work. You could, for example, help us ensure that people have access to safe water, that children can go to school in refugee camps, or that women and girls who have suffered sexual violence receive care and support. You could help us give young people the skills they need to earn a living, build community resilience so they are better able to withstand future natural disasters, or support the work of our policy and advocacy team, which uses the experience and learning from our country programmes to influence the policies of UK and European institutions.

If you would like to learn more about how you can help the IRC transform the lives of people affected by crises around the world, please contact Margaret Hanks on [email protected] or call 020 7692 2754.

Make a Gift

The support the International Rescue Committee receives from major donors is incredibly important. By making a major gift to the IRC, you will help us provide critical, lifesaving support during the world’s worst disasters and conflicts; you will help us continue to build innovative and sustainable programmes that reach the most vulnerable; and you will help us shape government policy, ensuring that those often forgotten in times of crisis are forgotten no longer.

We understand that making a significant contribution to any cause shouldn’t simply be a financial transaction. Our aim is to build long-term, meaningful relationships with our donors so that, together, we can achieve the greatest possible impact.

Our dedicated team offer a personalised service and will work with you to answer any questions you may have about our work, keep you up to date on our progress and discover where we can add additional benefit through our partnership.

Please contact Danny Everett on [email protected] or  020 7692 2751. Alternatively please make a secure donation online.

Ambassador Circle

The IRC’s Ambassador Circle is a very special group of individuals who have committed to a gift of at least £5,000 a year for three years. By joining this group of like-minded individuals, you will receive unparalleled access to exclusive events where you will meet IRC staff and your fellow supporters, and updates and opportunities to engage with our work.

For more information on making your gift or joining the Ambassador Circle, including advice on making your gift tax-efficient, please contact Danny Everett on [email protected] or  020 7692 2751. Alernatively please make a secure donation online.

Leave a legacy

Make your legacy last beyond a life time and help future generations to a safer life by leaving a gift through your Will.

Without a Will, the law will dictate what happens to your money and belongings. Making a Will gives you and your loved ones peace of mind, and it gives you the chance to leave a legacy to the causes you care about. A gift to the International Rescue Committee in your Will costs you nothing during your lifetime, but will one day make a huge difference to people whose lives have been ripped apart by conflict and disaster.

You can of course tell us what area of our work you would like your gift to support and we will make every effort to see that this happens, although it is difficult to know which areas of our work we will need to focus on in future.

Whatever you decide to leave us, you can be sure your legacy will be used effectively. To leave a legacy, simply download and comnplete a codicil form and return it to us via email it to [email protected] or post it to International Rescue Committee, 3 Bloomsbury Place, London, WC1 2QL.

If you have any questions or would like more information either call us on 020 7692 2727 or email [email protected]. We would love to hear from you and will assist in every way we can.
