IRC-UK Honours World Humanitarian Day 2013

“The world needs more courage! Stepping up for what you believe in, lending your voice to those who can’t be heard, speaking up and shedding light on things that are uncomfortable to hear – all this is needed when so many people are represented by so few and decisions are made on their behalf that have a huge impact on their lives. For many Syrian refugees and those in war zones just living their life takes a huge amount of courage – surely the world owes them the same.” Kete Shabani is a communications manager for the IRC in Jordan, where we are providing support to thousands of refugees who have fled the conflict in neighbouring Syria.

Sitnour Ali is a child protection manager for the IRC in Jordan. One word sums up what Sitnour thinks world needs more of: "Humility"
